An award-winning Pakistani-American actress and playwright, you may know Anna from her roles on AMC's The Walking Dead WB, NBC's The Good Place, or HBO’s Hacks.
Her play Shaheed enjoyed an extended Off-Broadway run in NYC; Time Out called it “a wonder,” and “heart-stopping, engrossing, funny, and profound theatre.”
Anna is The Grand Prize Winner of the 2023 Screencraft TV Pilot Competition (her pilot What Doesn’t Kill Me was selected out of 3,500 pilot submissions). She is also the 2022 recipient of the Google x Black List TV Storytelling Fellowship.
She has just completed her third pilot, Shaharzad, under the mentorship of Max Barbakow (Palm Springs, Brothers) and is currently developing and pitching a TV show based on her life story with Executive Producer Nastaran Dibai (Dear White People) and Rosewood Television.
Anna lives in Los Angeles with her husband, screenwriter Chris Rossi .
